About to take off again!!!

Are you ready for some #ELTchats?

September 15 will mark our 3rd birthday – a mere toddler ! Join us on the 11th to continue on our path of free, collaborative and connected professional development

A lot of people have made this great project possible but without our bloggers there would be no record, no testimony of our learning (as well as of the rush we all felt while doing it!!!)

Instead of big words and well turned phrases, blow are their photos, our champion bloggers with our thanks for coming back for more great summaries!

Here are just a few of our star bloggers!  Follow them on Twitter and follow their blogs!

How to Choose a Topic

Before you propose a topic, do please check the summaries index on this blog or go to the #ELTchat wiki and click on the Transcripts link to see what has been covered so far.

If you see your topic but would still like to discuss a different aspect or set of issues, do submit it and we will consider including it again! Once the topics have been suggested we’ll poll the #ELTchat community and the top two choices will; be discussed.  On the 11th the top choice will be discussed at 21.00 and 2nd choice at 12.oo (UK time)

Our Summaries & Transcripts Index

Here you can find links to all the transcripts and summaries available

Click here to find it or look for it on the pages menu on the right hand side.

Read those great posts which we have collected and make sure you visit the pages of the bloggers who contributed them too!!!!r topics which we “have done”.

Since we started #ELTchat in September 2010, we have discussed a wide number of topics, but with many new members joining our conversations every week, it is very natural that we will get requests for topics which we “have done”.

Please, include topics which

  • have not been covered already in previous #ELTchats
  • are relevant to ELT teachers and teaching foreign languages
  • are not targeted attacks on individuals or institutions
  • are simply and clearly expressed.

The #ELTchat moderators reserve the right not to post comments or to include them in the poll if they do not follow the above guidelines.

  1. How DO I subscribe? When I click on the Subcribe buttons I am shown a page of HTML script- but nothing happens, as far as I can see.

  2. le dinh vu says:

I hope I can jonh your class. thank you so much!!

  3. I am happy to have been included in such great company. I’m only a lowly ‘bronze’ ‘medaller’ (or should that be meddler, medaler?)

  4. Dear Dennis,

Sorry but we have disabled subscriptions because we receive about 200 spammer subscriptions daily and it’s difficult to sift through them to see which ones are genuine!!!

    Marisa

  5. Andrea Wade says:

Happy to be included and really looking forward to the new #eltchat term! I really must change that photo to a more smiley one! 🙂

  6. What about fossilization- in honour of Scott Thornbury’s new blog? http://scottthornburyblog.com/ We could discuss our experiences (personal and with our students) , why we think it occurs, and what might be the best ways to de-fossilize.

  7. LouiseL says:

How about revisiting some old ones to see what new insights we gained? I’d love to look at speaking skills in large teenage classes!

  8. sueannan says:

Would be interested in ideas for more Demand High teaching in the classroom
