If you are proposing a topic, please make every effort to join the chat if your topic is chosen. You can find out information about how to follow an #ELTchat here. Please also note that the chat moderators do monitor the voting. Cases of block voting are followed up and, in such a case, the votes will be disqualified and results of poll will be announced on our blog. Since we started #ELTchat in September 2010, we have discussed a wide number of topics, but with many new members joining our conversations every week, it is very natural that we will get requests for topics which we “have done”.

Please, include topics which
- have not been covered already in previous #ELTchats
- are relevant to ELT teachers and teaching foreign languages
- are not targeted attacks on individuals or institutions
- are simply and clearly expressed.

When you are thinking of your next move – maybe that’s your next school, maybe that’s your next qualification – what do you hold to be the most important aspects to consider. What are the good and bad signals you see when considering a new organisation or school for employment. Are there any tell tale signs that the experienced eye would catch that the inexperienced might overlook?
Can we create and sustain an English immersion course anywhere in the world? How can we involve everyone in the students’ environment to achieve it?
Is TEFL/ELT equity a lost cause? What can we as individual teachers do to make it more achievable?
What tech do you think is particularly effective in a classroom? If you had few resources , what would you use that was free, or cost effective?
I would propose ONE of the following topics, please:
1. Language and the Internet
2. What will the future of the classroom be like?

Mohmmad, I included your second suggestion but you have to clarify and rewrite your first one as we couldn’t really figure out the focus of your topic – how the internet affects language learning, language teaching or language itself?
