#ELTchat is a hashtag created in 2010 by a group of ELT colleagues who saw the potential in twitter conversations and information sharing.
It is a freely available social network for ELT professionals offering mutual support and opportunities for Continuous Professional Development.
Since then, every Wednesday, ELT teachers from all over the world can log into their Twitter account and for one hour hold an online discussion on a topic they have selected.

How does it work?
Topics for each #ELTchat are decided on by one or more of the chat moderators
- Marisa Constantinide
- Sue Annan
- Angelos Bollas
- Fiona Price
Announcements are made through an announcement blog post, or, if the moderators do not have time, directly on twitter and in our Facebook group.
Where else are we?
#ELTchat followers are great at connecting through Social Networks! They meet on Twitter throughout the week but we also maintain a Facebook group, it’s another great place to share links and continue the conversation outside Twitter.
