Someone should be in charge of a monthly one.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"text-align: left;\">#eltchat.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Last night\u2019s ELTchat (18.01.2012) was on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/eltchat.pbworks.com\/w\/page\/49986661\/Advantages%20and%20Disadvantages%20of%20Social%20Networks%20for%20Language%20Teachers\">the advantages and disadvantages of social networking for language teachers<\/a>. As you can imagine given the chat takes place on twitter, most participants were able to list many advantages to be gained from social networking. However one disadvantage kept being raised.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>@cerirhiannon @naomishema disadvantages 4 me is that it can be time-consuming &amp; sometimes overwhelming (information overload!) #eltchat<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So with information overload taking place it was natural that someone asked?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>@Marisa_C @leoselivan\u00a0 I\u00a0 missed that one! How do we\u00a0 save bookmarks in an organised fashion??Please tell!!#eltchat<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Which in turn led to people listing ways to keep track of links, suggesting such things<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Screencapture<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Bookmarking<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Evernote<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Diigo<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Scoop.it<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Livebinders<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Pinterest<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Symbaloo<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Google bookmarks<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><strong>Google reader<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For those that take part in #eltchat then you\u2019ll know this is a pretty typical course of action \u2013 someone asks and then links are provided.\u00a0 However obviously in the mood for a challenge, Tara threw down a gauntlet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>@tarabenwell: Okay, so next PLN blog challenge topic: Best\u00a0 Method for Organizing #ELT Bookmarks!
