I simply provide the situations in which they can learn.\u201d Einstein<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main goals<\/strong>:<br \/>\n\u2022 Make your students independent of the teacher<br \/>\n\u2022 Help the learner to become independent and become his\/her own mentor<br \/>\n\u2022 provide students with the tools to be able to learn on their own<br \/>\n\u2022 make your students part of the decision making about classroom activities<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The role of teacher in developing learner autonomy:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 model role<br \/>\n\u2022 moderator<br \/>\n\u2022 facilitator<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How autonomy starts in classroom:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Give them choice<br \/>\n\u2022 Show them ways of learning<br \/>\n\u2022 Use the learners\u2019 interest<br \/>\n\u2022 Talk about it in classroom<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here are the tips:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 show them how to learn (teach them also study skills), what suits them most and how to get most out of it<br \/>\n\u2022 Show learners ideas from your own learning (writing coloured words on papers, putting them on the walls).
