ELTchats in Review -Topics, Soft Skills and more!
Interviews
Last week’s interview is arriving somewhat late, with apologies to Janet Bianchini / @janetbianchini, who sat in front of a crackling fireplace while Marisa Constantinides / @Marisa_C asked her about teaching through topics and themes. Janet is a teacher and teacher trainer who lives in Abruzzo, Italy.
This week, @ShellTerrell talked to Erika Osvath on the soft skills that teachers ought to have, a topic which generated a lot of heated discussion! Erika is from Hungary where she works as a teacher and teacher trainer. She is @erikaosvath on Twitter.
Featured Blog Post
The topic of soft skills was picked up by another teacher on Twitter who wrote a blog post about it with the title “Are teachers born or made?” a question which has been plaguing teacher educators for many years (along with the nature vs nurture question).
Visit @Fuertusun ‘s blog post and continue the discussion. Her real name is Leahn Stanhope and she teaches and trains in Spain!
